Stoneware is a local-first iOS app made by Claya LLC. This policy explains what we do (and don't) do with your data.
Nothing. Stoneware has no accounts, no sign-in, no servers that store your data. Every piece, photo, glaze layer, firing log, and note you create is stored only on your device using Apple's on-device database (SwiftData).
If you attach a photo to a piece, Stoneware asks iOS for permission to your photo library. The photo is copied into the app and kept on your device. Photos are not uploaded or shared with anyone.
Stoneware's on-device database is included in your device's standard iCloud / iTunes backup, if you have that enabled in iOS Settings. Apple controls those backups; Stoneware does not access them. If you disable iCloud backup in iOS Settings, Stoneware data is not backed up.
Stoneware does not include analytics SDKs, ad networks, tracking pixels, or crash reporters. Apple's standard App Store metrics (downloads, crashes) are aggregated and anonymized by Apple — Stoneware does not see them at the individual level.
Stoneware does not share data with any third party, because Stoneware does not have your data.
Stoneware is rated 4+. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children, or anyone.
